Accessibility Statement
Last updated 2026-10-01
We want Stamp.Show to be usable by as many people as possible, including exhibitors, judges and organizers who use assistive technology such as screen readers, or who navigate by keyboard alone.
Conformance status
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We do not claim conformance: the application has not been independently audited or tested end to end with assistive technology. We consider this a work in progress.
Measures we've taken
So far, this has included:
- Building the interface on accessible component primitives, with real buttons, links and form labels rather than clickable containers
- Focus management in dialogs and menus: opening one moves focus into it and closing it returns focus to where you were
- Screen reader labels for icon-only controls, and the page language following the language you select
- Text and controls designed for readable contrast, with a light and a dark appearance on the public pages
- Everything reachable and operable by keyboard in the Jury Room, the exhibitor portal and the organizer area, as a design goal
Known limitations
We are aware of gaps that remain, including:
- No screen with a screen reader has been manually tested end to end
- We do not yet run automated accessibility tests in our development process
- Some tables, image galleries and score sheets may be harder to use with a screen reader than the sign-in and registration screens
- Uploaded exhibit images and expo logos have no text description unless the uploader provides one
Technical specifications
Stamp.Show relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and their built-in accessibility features. JavaScript is required for the application to function.
